Pick 5 - Round 2 Qualifiers

I'm late posting because I've been playing around with Google+. In case you don't know it's Google's new social media platform - if you need an invite post a comment below with your email address.  Who says you can't mix Web 2.0 and Gaelic football?!? Anyway here are my five picks for the evening matches.

Down v. Leitrim
Down will walk to an easy victory. Leitrim are a mess and can't handle the pace of Down.
Down +8

London v. Waterford
After beating Fermanagh and nearly toppling Mayo in the provincials, London are on a roll. Waterford on the other hand were hammered by Cork and have never won a qualifier match. Sorry Waterford but the London men want it more.
London +2

Laois v. Kildare
Laois had a great start in their Division 2 League campaign but faltered toward the end. So far in the Championship they have beaten Longford, lost to Dublin and beaten Tipperary. Kildare beat Wicklow before losing to Dublin on a free in the closing moments...a garbage free. Both teams lost to Dublin but Kildare pushed them to the brink. Laois won't be able to keep up.
Kildare +5

Longford v. Tyrone
Longford are not going to be an easy win for Tyrone. Kerry were lucky to get past Longford in 2009 and Cork were lucky again in 2010. The third time may be the charm for Longford to slay a giant. Still, I have a hard time imagining Micky Harte's men allowing this to happen no matter how poorly they played against Donegal.
Tyrone +4

Meath v. Galway
This is an interesting fixture. With Michael Meehan back in the line-up for Galway they're a completely different outfit. This should be a big boost to the Tribesmen who've had an otherwise dismal year. At the same time Meath are coming off a strong performance against Louth. Cian Ward scored 4-3. Yes that's 4-3. A loss here could see Galway manager Tomás Ó Flatharta out of a job just one year into the position having overseen relegation in the League and a first round loss to Mayo in the provincial championship. He should start updating his CV.
Meath +5
